(P4) Present the exported extract to an audience, obtaining feedback

This is the Microsoft form that I created for the feedback of our short film. This was sent to our teachers, and our media class for a range of feedback between different people. We got three responses for our film which highlighted different positives, so we could take this information and see what a smaller audience liked from the film.

Individual Questions -

The first question focused on visual quality, as we thought this was an important aspect of a film, as well as the first thing or opinion that comes to mind when watching films. If we had good visuals, then we can engage an audience from the start when a narrative is not yet obvious.

The second question focused on audio quality which, similarly, is a hugely important aspect of film. Dependent on the audio quality is the flow of the narrative because if the audio quality is not good, then people may have a hard time hearing important sound effects or dialogue.

Question three was about the editing of the film. We wanted to create an editing style which flowed naturally and paced complimentary to the scenes. We feel this is also a very important part of a film as it develops the feel of the shots without being obvious. Editing in a film should be invisible to the viewer, unless developed in a different way.

This question was used to see if there were any shots that were majority favourite from the audience. From this information we can see what the audience thought was the best, and how we created these shots.

During the pre-production and production of the film, we had many changes in location and setting which impacted our film both positively and negatively. This means that the feedback here was valuable to us to see which locations worked best compared to our plan.

This was an opinionated question, as it would be nice to know the opinions of the film as a whole from an audience. These answers would not give us anything to improve on necessarily, but it was nice to see why people liked our film.
